Gardening Ergonomics

Many people don’t realize that gardening and yard work are physical activities that can result in injuries if you don’t care for your body. Remember to take a few minutes to warm up and stretch before starting. Utilize a kneeling pad and wear gloves to protect your hands and knees when working in the garden. Use the appropriate tools and work within your power zone to decrease overreaching and awkward postures. Lastly, utilize reverse posture if you have been in the same body position for a long time.

Are you thinking of lighting off fireworks to celebrate a summer holiday? Before buying fireworks, check your local state laws to see if consumer fireworks are legal. If they are legal, check out these safety tips!
