Avoid Resting On Your Elbows, Strawberries, Don’t Be A Weekend Warrior
Avoid Resting On Your Elbows
Have you ever noticed numbness in your hand while resting your elbow on a table? Leaning on your elbows can lead to irritation of the ulnar nerve, which is accompanied by pain, numbness, and/or tingling into both the ring and pinky fingers. Be cognizant of where your elbows are when sitting at your desk and driving. Try lowering the armrests on your chair when working at your computer if you frequently find yourself resting your elbows on the desk.
Strawberries
Strawberries are a superfood with tons of health benefits. They are rich in various vitamins and minerals, especially vitamin C, which helps aid our immune system and collagen production. They are low in calories and have a low glycemic index, but are high in fiber, which is great for gut health. Strawberries can even help with your eye and brain health thanks to their antioxidants, and increase fat-burning hormones that help curb your appetite.
Don’t Be A Weekend Warrior
It can be hard to find time during the week to fit in a workout. Warmer weather tends to bring out the “weekend warrior” in most of us, leading to increased muscle soreness and a higher risk of injuries. To combat this mindset, try to engage in 20-30 minutes of moderate-intensity activity at least 5 days a week. Be sure to take time to warm up and cool down, and listen to your body if pain develops.
