Thumb Stretch & Exercise
We all know that stretching and exercise can help reduce tension, improve flexibility & enhance mobility. Our hands, especially our thumbs, can become sources of constant tension from frequent use. Try performing the “C-Shape Exercise” by holding your hand and fingers straight and close together. Gently curve your fingers, as if your hand is wrapped around a can or bottle. Moving slowly and smoothly, return your hand to the starting position. Repeat the exercise five times with each hand. Regular hand and finger exercise can help minimize the risk of overuse injuries.
Legumes
Looking for an inexpensive way to add protein, iron, vitamins, complex carbohydrates, and fiber to your diet? Then look no further! With a recommended guideline of 3-5 cups/week, consuming legumes as part of a healthy diet can help prevent chronic diseases, including cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity, and support digestive health. This versatile, low-glycemic-index food blends well with other foods and pairs well with seasonings, giving your meal a boost of flavor & texture!
