Ergonomics for the Big Game

Super Bowl Sunday is quickly approaching! Here are a few health and ergonomic tips to remember when watching:

  1. 20-20-20 Rule: Every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds to help reset your vision

  2. Posture: At every timeout, consider standing or walking briefly to break up periods of prolonged sitting and improve circulation.

  3. Stay Hydrated: Plan to balance alcoholic and caffeinated beverages with water throughout the game.

Football Fitness Challenge

Challenge your family and friends to stay active by participating in this fitness challenge:

  • 25 Jumping Jacks for every touchdown

  • 10 squats for every time out

  • 10 crunches for every field goal

  • 10 push-ups for every car commercial aired during the game

Smart Snacking

Food is a big part of the Super Bowl celebration, with wings and snack dips being fan favorites. Fan favorite snacks can be healthy and still taste good. Try these substitutes when cooking this year.

  • Consider air-frying chicken wings instead of deep frying.

  • Swap sour cream with fat-free plain Greek yogurt or fat-free cottage cheese for a high-protein option.

  • Use turkey instead of beef when making chili for a leaner option.
