Team Lift, Low Carb Foods, Proper Squat Technique

Team Lift

When lifting an object that exceeds the recommended limits, it is often necessary to perform a team lift. Before lifting, your body must be adequately warmed up for the task. Additionally, ensure you are on the same page with your lifting partner and lift at the same time. When lifting, maintain a firm grip on the object, use a wide stance for balance, and lift with the legs. Once lifted, keep the object in your power zone until it is time to lower it. Never be afraid to ask for help!

Low Carb Foods

Carbohydrates are one of the primary nutrients that we consume. They are the primary source of energy for the body and are found in foods like bread, rice, pasta, and fruit. However, limiting your carbohydrate intake can help improve blood sugar control and may promote weight loss. On the flip side, it can also reduce your fiber intake, so be sure to eat plenty of high-fiber vegetables. Low-carb foods include lean meats, such as chicken, turkey, and fish, as well as eggs, dairy products, and vegetables. Be sure to consult with your healthcare provider before making any significant changes to your diet.

Proper Squat Technique

Squats are an excellent exercise for targeting large muscle groups, burning calories, and strengthening your core. To begin a squat, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Then, hinge at your hips and push your buttocks back as if you were sitting in a chair. As you lower your body with your knees, try to keep the spine in a neutral position. Squat as low as you can, then push through your heels to straighten back up and return to the starting position.
